Armenia Manti

Welcome to Armenia! Armenia is a country found in Asia along the caucasus region once part of Soviet Russia. The oldest known wine producing facilitiy was found in Armenia.

For this country we made Manti. Manti is a dumpling dish common in Asia. It was kind of like a open faced ravioli. I used a recipe found on allrecipes, https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/8491621/manti-armenian-dumplings/

Here are all the ingredients I used.

The first step was to make a meatball like combination from the ground meat Parsley and onions. I also made a simple pasta like dough.

Using a pasta machine I rolled out the dough. Made small little squares and placed the meat within the squares. Using a little bit of water I created small boat like ravioli.

These were then placed in a cast iron cooked and placed in a tomato sauce.

I topped them off with a lemon garlic yogurt sauce and chopped Parsley.

These were delectable. Spicy, creamy and crunchy. By cooking the shells first before putting them in the sauce made the dumpling very different. Mack and I loved these and I have already been asked to make it again. I would give this dish a 9 out of 10. The only reason I can't give it a 10 as the process is very long and tedious.
